“PETE”: A Veteran Canine Olympic Contestant in 2006

Read his original poem about his career as an owner/handled "TOP-TIBBIE"

Born on Halloween night in 1998, "PETE" qualified as a Veteran Dog at seven years of age. October was a lucky month for him and his owner/handler, Ann Terry of Chattanooga, TN,  and for
"The Gin-Tai Tibetan Spaniels"
of
Stevenson, Alabama
where he was bred by Kathryn E. Phillips, who wrote his special poem.

"PETE" qualified as the #11 Tibetan Spaniel in the nation for the nationally televised
AKC/Eukanuba National Championship Dog Show
where he was owner/handled
in
Tampa, FL
on
Saturday, January 14, 2006
as
"PETE" and Ann vied  for "Best of Breed"!

His niece, Ch Gin-Tai’s Zesty Starla, and her breeder/owner/handler, Kathryn,  helped
educate the public on The Tibetan Spaniel
at
"MEET THE BREED"
another part of the exciting events held  in Tampa, FL January 14-15th.

LIVE television coverage of AKC Conformation, Obedience, Agility and "Meet the Breed" Events
were aired on "Animal Planet" and "Discovery" Channels
at
8:00PM both nights!

We were honored to be there, although we did not win "Best of Breed"!
